The HUD groups useful information while you play. Panels, the currency bar and notifications have separate controls.

Fold panels quickly
Crouch twice quickly to fold open panels. Repeat the gesture to unfold them temporarily.
A panel needed for an activity may stay open. Interaction controls and notifications do not fold with this gesture.
Read the currency bar
The bar shows the currencies and reputation available on the server. Hiding panels does not hide this bar: use its separate control.
Your display preference may be specific to the server you are playing on. Check it after changing servers.
Choose the interface language
opens the language selector for compatible interfaces. or select a language directly when the selector is available. The default configured aliases are , and .
The in-game wiki keeps its own selector. On the website, use the language links. If a menu keeps its previous language, close it and open it again.
A setting does not respond
If a command is unknown, check the menus available on that server. When asking for help, mention the server, the command you tried and the affected panel.
