Earning Hyltcoins on Hylterium's Skyblock
On Hylterium's Skyblock, the currency is the Hyltcoin. You earn it mostly by selling your output to the server shop, whose prices have followed a live exchange since 1 October 2026, or to other players at the auction house.
This guide goes with the page about Hylterium's Hytale Skyblock server, which explains how to start your island.
Where to earn Hyltcoins
- The shop (
/shop): the server store has over a thousand entries in 18 categories, from blocks to spawners, seeds, ores and crafting blueprints. It also buys your output. /sell all: sells everything sellable at once, with a cooldown based on your rank. The shop also has a Sell All button.- Sell chests: they automatically sell what you put in them, even after a server restart.
- The auction house (
/ah): to sell to other players, at your price. - Playing: votes, events and active rewards also pay Hyltcoins.
Your Hyltcoins show in the currency bar, and shop notifications arrive in the same place.
The exchange: prices that move
Since 1 October 2026, shop prices are dynamic:
- the more players sell a resource, the less it sells for;
- the less it is sold, the higher its price can climb back.
The shop's Bourse (exchange) button shows how they move. The site also shows the live Skyblock exchange, item by item. Diversifying what you produce therefore pays more than selling one resource in bulk.
Setting up sell chests
With Ctrl + F on a sell chest, you choose:
- the price threshold from which to sell;
- the threshold where selling stops.
Paired with vacuum block filters, they let you keep some resources and sell the rest automatically: see Skyblock automation.
What sells well
- Modded vegetables and fruit were rebalanced on 4 October 2026 to pay better.
- Life essences have been sellable since 25 July 2026.
- Before a big sale, compare the shop price, the exchange and the auction house listings: a rare item doesn't pay if nobody buys it.
The auction house
A 5% tax is taken on every sale. The number of listings and their maximum length grow with your rank:
| Rank | Listings | Maximum length |
|---|---|---|
| Voyageur | 1 | 24 h |
| Éclaireur | 3 | 30 h |
| Gardien | 5 | 36 h |
| Paladin | 8 | 42 h |
| Archimage | 10 | 48 h |
| Oracle | 15 | 54 h |
| Mythique | 20 | 60 h |
Check the item, the quantity and the unit price before confirming: scams and market manipulation are against the rules.
Spending Hyltcoins: ranks
Skyblock progression ranks are bought in game with Hyltcoins, and each one inherits the perks of the one before:
| Rank | Total cost |
|---|---|
| Voyageur | Free |
| Éclaireur | 200,000 Hyltcoins |
| Gardien | 1,000,000 Hyltcoins |
| Paladin | 5,000,000 Hyltcoins |
| Archimage | 10,000,000 Hyltcoins |
| Oracle | 25,000,000 Hyltcoins |
| Mythique | 50,000,000 Hyltcoins |
/grades shows your progress. Costs and perks can be rebalanced: the in-game menu has the final word. The full list of perks is in the Skyblock wiki.
