Halloween has officially arrived on Hylterium!

Last night, both of our servers received a complete Halloween makeover, along with a major update packed with new content.

Coming with this update: a mysterious investigation, a procedural cross-server labyrinth, brand-new monsters, a new Battlepass, a reworked World Boss, and over 50 new cosmetics, pets, and mounts!

The Golden Pumpkin Mystery

An immersive story awaits you on Hylterium.

The next time you log in, Inspector Morris will need your help solving a mysterious case: the theft of the Golden Pumpkin.

Meet the inhabitants of Hylterium, listen to their stories, compare their testimonies, and draw your own conclusions. Who can you trust? And who should you be suspicious of?

But be careful, this mystery won’t be solved in a single day!

The story will unfold piece by piece, day after day, with new content, clues, and revelations to discover daily. Each day will bring you closer to uncovering the truth behind the Golden Pumpkin’s disappearance.

More than just a series of quests, this investigation will immerse you in an evolving storyline where every testimony could change your understanding of what happened.

Take your time reading the dialogue and pay close attention to your surroundings… A simple testimony might contain the missing piece of your investigation.

Labyrinth of Horrors — Cross-Server Event

Every day at 9 PM, MMORPG and Skyblock players will come together in our biggest dynamic event yet: the Labyrinth of Horrors.

Enter a massive procedurally generated labyrinth, hunt for candy, and try to survive long enough to escape with your loot.

Every labyrinth is unique. You’ll never encounter exactly the same paths, surprises, or dangers twice.

But beware, this labyrinth is far from safe.

• Face brand-new monsters you’ve never encountered anywhere else in your Hytale adventure.
• Explore a different labyrinth during every event.
• Collect candy and exchange it for rewards exclusive to your server.
• Find potions and bonuses to increase your chances of survival.
• Start your adventure with only 2 lives and no armor.
• Discover secrets and try to find the mysterious treasure room.
• Face the labyrinth’s guardian for a chance to escape with even greater rewards.

Get lost in the corridors, fill your pockets with candy… or die trying to survive.

And that’s not all.

The Great Jack is hiding somewhere inside the labyrinth. Find him and always keep an eye on his hat: it might just reveal the key to a mountain of candy.

As for the rest, we’d rather keep it a secret. It’s up to you to discover what awaits. 😉

MMORPG — World Boss Rework

The MMORPG World Boss has also received a major update for the occasion.

• Brand-new 3D model.
• Fixed and improved hitbox.
• Rebalanced health and difficulty.
• Added new attacks.
• Added new combat phases.

Prepare your gear, gather your allies, and try to defeat him to discover what rewards await you.

New Battlepass System

We’ve also introduced a brand-new Battlepass system on Hylterium, available in two versions: Free and Premium.

The concept is simple: play actively on the server, progress through your Battlepass, and unlock rewards throughout your adventure.

• Free Battlepass: available to all players, allowing you to earn rewards simply by playing on Hylterium.
• Premium Battlepass: unlocks an additional reward track, offering even more exclusive content throughout the season.

Among the rewards, you’ll find:

• Exclusive cosmetics.
• Unique pets.
• Brand-new mounts.
• Many other surprises to discover.

Keep in mind that this first Battlepass will only be available for 45 days. Some rewards will therefore be exclusive to this first season.

And for those who manage to complete it, a special reward awaits: a collectible trophy commemorating Hylterium’s very first Battlepass, featuring its date, to remember your participation.

Over 50 New Cosmetics, Pets, and Mounts

To celebrate this update, we’ve added over 50 new cosmetics, pets, and mounts, including several Halloween-themed additions.

These new items are available through the Hyltgems system and /cosmetic.

The Labyrinth of Horrors will also allow you to collect candy that you can exchange at the Candy Merchant for various rewards:

• Useful resources for your progression.
• Hyltgems.
• Cosmetics.
• Rewards exclusive to your server.

Whether you play on MMORPG or Skyblock, you’ll have plenty of reasons to participate in Halloween events throughout the season!

Fixes and Improvements

Several fixes have also been deployed across the servers throughout the week.

Most notably, we’ve fixed the issue with guild contracts, which are now available again following the bugs you reported earlier this week.

We’re continuing to monitor issues to provide you with the best possible gameplay experience.
